This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how CybroXide Technologies Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use the Astronath mobile application ("App"), website, and associated services (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy is formulated in strict compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (SPDI Rules).
1. Notice & Consent (DPDP Act Compliance)
By checking the explicit consent box during registration and continuing to use the Astronath App, you signify your informed, unconditional, and explicit consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data as outlined in this Policy. You may withdraw this consent at any time; however, withdrawal may result in the suspension of your access to certain Services.
2. Personal Data We Collect
We collect data necessary to provide our astrological and e-commerce services to you:
- Identity Data: Full name, Date of Birth (including age verification for minor gating), Time of Birth, Place of Birth.
- Contact Data: Phone number, Email address, Shipping/Billing address.
- Technical Data: IP address, device identifiers, app usage statistics, and crash diagnostic data.
- Transactional Data: Order history and payment status (Note: We do not store raw credit/debit card numbers on our servers; payments are securely processed via compliant third-party gateways).
3. Purpose of Processing
We process your data strictly for the following legal and operational purposes:
- Service Delivery: Calculating precise astrological charts (Kundli) and delivering personalized astrological insights.
- E-Commerce: Fulfilling orders for products purchased via the App.
- Authentication & Security: Verifying your identity, confirming age eligibility, and securing your account against unauthorized access.
- Legal Obligations: Complying with statutory requirements under Indian Law.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Data Localization: Your data is hosted on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure located within the territory of India, complying with data localization preferences.
- Security Practices: We employ commercially reasonable security practices, including encryption of data in transit and restricted access to data at rest.
- Access Control: We employ strict internal policies to ensure that only authorized personnel can access personal data on a need-to-know basis.
5. Your Rights as a Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you possess the following rights:
- Right to Access: You can request a summary of your personal data being processed.
- Right to Correction & Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You may edit your data or request the permanent deletion of your account.
- Right to Grievance Redressal: You have the right to register a grievance with our designated Grievance Officer.
- Right to Nominate: You can nominate an individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
6. Retention and Erasure
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above. Upon your explicit request to delete your account via the App’s "User Data & Privacy" section, your data will be queued for automated permanent erasure. All personally identifiable information associated with your account will be permanently purged from our active databases within 72 hours of your request, except where retention is strictly mandated by law.
7. Children's Privacy
The Astronath App strictly prohibits users under the age of 18 from creating an account without verifiable parental consent. We employ age-gating mechanisms during onboarding to enforce this. If we discover that personal data of a minor has been collected unlawfully, we will immediately and permanently delete such data.
8. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share necessary data with trusted third parties (e.g., logistics partners, payment gateways, analytics providers) strictly under binding agreements that mandate compliance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Contact and Grievance Officer
In accordance with the IT Act and DPDP Act, we have appointed a Grievance Officer to address your concerns regarding data privacy.
